Mumbai, the beautiful city which never sleeps nor does its people.

Together they make the perfect combination. The city needs people to work and the people need the city for work.

Shehar aksar logon ki raatein bechain rakhte hain aur bechaini aur neend kabhi sath sath nhi chalte.

Darkness has come over. The night time it is !

Inn shehron ki chakachondh raat ko bhi raat mehsoos nhi hone deti.

The sudden rainfall has given the city its first bath of the winters.

Rain!

It brings different colours in lives of different people.

It is something which can brighten some people's lives while at the same time making it miserable for others.

As it is said, every coin has two sides. So does the society has !

The rich people enjoy rain sitting in their balconies, enjoying tea with the family. Them spending romantic times with their partner.

Rain also brings sorrow for The poor. The people who needs to shift their stuff to safer place when everytime it rains. The people who needs to figure out how to spend the night under the leaking roof.

The heavy rainfall has made the city go slow. The continuous honkings on the roads depicting how people are being impatient to reach their homes after being tired of all day.

Running alongside the road like crazy the pink teddy bear slipper of hers slipped on the mud making her fall inside the mud with a thud. The pink night suit with micky mouse printed on it along with the pink scarf in her neck was painted brown with the mud.

"mummaaa, ye kya hua" sitting in the mud she had a cute pout formed with her lips. How did she slip? Instead of getting up, she tried to find the answer.

The rain kept pouring over her creating more mess while she was busy in her own world of question answers.

"kaise gir gyi mai" she looked around to find her answer which made her realise that where she was.

Alongside the road, not at her home.

Getting up quickly she tried to take off the mud from her clothes but it just kept going messy making her sigh in disappointment.

"arre budhu, jo kaam karne aayi thi vo toh karle" patting her forehead with her muddy hand, she scolded herself while making her forehead have the taste of mud too.

Getting out of the mess which felt like years, she finally moved to the side of the road.

"hello baby, aap yahan akele reh gye the?" holding a little puppy in her hands she talked to him as if he could understand her language.

He could ! Definitely !

"abhi tum mere sath chaloge theek hai, mai tumhe achhe se saaf kar dungi, abhi tum pure bheeg gye ho na. chlo jldi se ghar chalte hain" covering the puppy with her pink scarf she held the puppy in her arms and stood up.

The mud in her slippers had made it difficult for her to walk. She was walking unevenly with the weight of mud stuck in her slippers.

Looking down she dragged her slippers to clean them while walking. She was unaware of her surroundings where she reached.

The continuous rainfall has come as a huge struggle for her tonight. The continuous honkings under the heavy rainfall went unheard by her as she was busy in her own world while holding the little puppy in her arms and cleaning her slippers.

Flash lights fall on her face making her go blind for a second. The sudden light falling directly on her face made her mind stop working to think what was happening around here.

Before her mind could process anything, her feet got lifted off the surface. She could not feel the ground beneath her feet.

The next moment she felt herself being caged. Her face was pressed against something hard.

Everything went silent all of a sudden.There was silence or she couldn't hear anything?

Yes she couldn't hear anything for seconds. She was numb. What just happened? She understood nothing.

What was that ? 

The heart beat ?

Yes, she could hear a heart beat so fast. Her heart was beating so fast with the sudden movement that just took place. Her heart was thudding against her chest.

Wait a minute!

It was not just a heart beat. It were heart beats.

There were two hearts beating at the same pace!

She could hear two heart beats complimenting each other with the same pace. Strange !

She understood nothing whatsoever was happening around her.

The continuous rain pouring down the city has turned the weather cold yet she could feel the warmth.

Her face could feel an unknown warmth. Her face ?

Her face was hidden in something. Her tiny figure was pressed against something huge.

Two strong arms wrapped around her body was what she realised first. She was in someone's arms.

Someone was there !

Her face was hidden against a muscled hard chest which made her face feel the warmth.

First thing she did was open her eyes.

The tiny brain of hers processed things slowly. Caged in a strong hold, she could do nothing except lift her face up to know who was there.

The dark brown orbs looked right through her soul just the moment she looked up.

The intense gaze scanned the innocence flashing in her doe eyes

Just the pure innocence !

Water dripping down his hair directly fall on her face making her eyes flicker as her gaze locked with his.

The intensity his eyes held made her shiver in his hold. He felt that !

Who was he ?

Her petite figure held against his giant structure, she looked delicate. His strong arms wrapped around her were giving a sense of protection.

An unknown protection from an unknown yet she felt safe.

The two souls lost in their own world which existed nowhere, kept standing under the heavy rain getting drenched.

The sudden thunderstorm made the sky all white for a second. The next second she was screaming at the top of her voice.

Hiding her face in his neck she screamed at the top of her lungs while her legs did the cycling in his hold making her hit his legs continuously.

"bijli, bijli mumma, bijliii" her senses were not working anymore.

The fear of lightening made her go out of her senses. She has no realisation where she was and what was she doing.

Is she serious?

The only thought he had in his mind. She kept wriggling in his arms while he stood their holding her close to himself.

"Can you stop?" the deep voice of his with the calmest tone ever made her scream die in her throat.

Her petite form shivered with the voice she just heard. He felt that again!

She forgot the thunderstorm. She forgot she has voice. She forgot her fear !

Now she feared him !

Moving her face slowly out of his neck she came face to face with him. Him holding her with her feet off the surface made their faces come so close that she could feel his breathe on her face.

Her eyes widened realising the proximity she was in with him.

She was cute!

Another thought made its way in his mind.

"neeche utarna hai" the sweetest tone with an unknown fear lacing it, he heard for the first time in his life.

She was scared of him!

Her eyes blinked rapidly because of the continuous rainfall. She kept looking at him with pure innocence wanting him to put her down.

Letting her stand on her own feet, he slowly put her down. That intense gaze never leaves her face!

The poor puppy stuck in between them finally took a breathe of relief. Nobody realised his presence there.

Poor baby !

"Next time use your useless brain when you cross the road" his voice held no emotions.

His words made her look at him with the questioning look. He could see her thoughts in her eyes.

Her eyes were expressive !

The puppy wriggled in her arms making her look down at him. She totally forgot the baby in her arms.

How could she not when she herself was in someone's arms like a baby!

Caressing the puppy she looked up again just to find he was nowhere.

He was gone!

She was clueless! Where did he go ?

"my brain is not useless" she mumbled in her mouth while a pout formed with her lips.

She was offended !

How could he call her brain useless ?

Looking around she realised that they are at the side of the road.

"sorry baby, meri wajah se aap aur bheeg gye. abhi aapko ghar jaa k saaf kar dungi" covering the baby she ran towards her home which was on the roadside only.

"Bhai, are you alright? Where did you go all of a sudden? Aur ye aapke kapde gande kaise ho gye?" Rana, stood near the car waiting for sidharth.

They were stuck in the jam on the road. In a second, Sidharth was gone out. Before Rana could process what just happened, sidharth was no where to be seen.

"Kuchh nhi" sidharth sat inside the car. His eyes gazed out of the window once before he let himself come back.

Taking off the wet coat of his three piece suit, he threw it aside. Clo

sing his eyes he just rests back.

Rana understood nothing. He was completely confused. Getting back inside the car, he started the engine.

Soon they were out of the sight !
